MacroMicro is a browser-based macroeconomic data platform that turns economic, industry and company data into dynamic charts, proprietary indicators and research notes, with an AI layer called MM AI on top.
MacroMicro is a Taiwan start-up founded by Rachel Chen and Ken Wang, and its name combines macroeconomics and microeconomics. The company says that since 2015 it has built a global database, macro education, proprietary analysis tools, an Industry Intelligence Hub and, most recently, MM AI.
The company also says more than 7.6 million users visit each year (as captured on October 5, 2026), from individual investors to financial institutions, listed companies and media research teams. That figure is self-reported traffic, not an audited user count.
The Industry Trends area adds 455+ exclusive charts that track supply and demand across semiconductors, tech, energy and other key sectors. In the plan comparison, the ETF tools include an ETF screener and comparator plus a Stock-to-ETF reverse lookup.
Prime members can use the Toolbox to analyze data, create custom charts, save and follow them, back-test strategies and work on investment timing. Chart types include line, bar, stacked and seasonality views.
The Max AI plan card lists the Global Industry Intelligence Hub, a US Earnings Forecast & Competitive Analysis Module, Earnings Call Summaries and a Fully Updated Stock Database. These modules extend the product from macro charting into stock-level research.
MacroMicro's content layer includes a Blog with current macro analysis, Spotlight posts that highlight the most impactful charts, and MacroAcademy, which covers basics for newer investors. The MM community lets members share insights made with Prime's chartmaker, and inviting friends earns M Coins that can extend a membership.
On plans with data downloads, a failed download can be retried from the download records page in your member profile within one hour, and the retry does not count toward your download quota.
MacroMicro organizes its analysis in three layers, from macro to micro: locating the economic cycle, spotting sectors where capital and demand are heating up, and monitoring company growth and risk. Beyond that research workflow, the plans support a few distinct jobs.
MM AI is pitched at market newcomers, pro investors who want one-click charting, earnings analysis and risk alerts, and business decision-makers using partner-grade data and supply-chain links.
Professional users face a specific restriction: certain data services, such as US equity earnings estimates sourced from Refinitiv, are available only to "Non-Professional Users" for investment purposes and may not be used for automated trading or programmatic strategy development.
The pages reviewed for this profile do not describe a dedicated mobile app.
MacroMicro pricing is split between individual plans (Prime and Max AI) and enterprise plans. Besides regular members, users become subscribers through paid plans whose features, scope and pricing may change. Prices below are as captured on October 5, 2026.
| Plan | Annual billing | Monthly billing | MM AI access |
|---|---|---|---|
| Prime | about USD 20.95/month, billed annually (17% off) | USD 25/month | Limited access to select features |
| Max AI | about USD 24.95/month, billed annually (20% off, "price rising soon") | USD 30/month | Annual: full future access to AI Chat and AI Dashboard; monthly: limited access |
The plan cards show annual prices as per-month equivalents without an annual total; the comparison table on the same page lists MacroMicro at $25 monthly or $250 per year without naming the tier.
The key content gap between the two individual plans: Prime focuses on core macroeconomic data and does not include the Industry Intelligence Hub or the U.S. Earnings Database. AI capacity also differs: the comparison table gives Prime a limited trial of selected AI features, Max AI basic token usage (selected features only on monthly billing), and Biz 20x token usage.
| Enterprise plan | Listed price | Billing notes |
|---|---|---|
| Business AI | USD 6,700/year or USD 700/month | Sold through Contact Us |
| API Essential | USD 6,000/year | Annual subscription only; 7-day free trial |
| D&B GlobalView x MM (Custom) | Not listed | Annual subscription only; Dun & Bradstreet data modules plus full Business AI features |
MacroMicro's own comparison table sets it against Bloomberg, YCharts, Koyfin and Trading Economics. An independent investing newsletter's macro-tools roundup lists it next to Koyfin, FRED, Trading Economics and World Bank Open Data, describing MacroMicro as connecting macro data with market implications.
MacroMicro does not permit data from any subscription plan to be used for commercial profit, and its data-provider agreements prohibit re-licensing, transfer, sale, loan or distribution of data and derivative works. Exclusive indicator data is downloadable or available by API only on the Custom plan, and some partner data cannot be downloaded or accessed by API at all because of contracts.
Without prior written consent, downloading MacroMicro's data, re-posting its articles, and citing or re-posting its data or charts are all prohibited. For Business AI, licensed charts and data may stop updating if a data source changes its policies or is discontinued, and MacroMicro may add, modify or terminate authorized data categories.
The subscribe page FAQ lists data downloads among MM Business's exclusive features and says the plan offers 200 data downloads per month. The enterprise page says the Business AI plan offers up to 500 data downloads per month. The site uses both names for its business tier, and neither page explains the gap.
The terms are governed by Republic of China (Taiwan) law, with the Taiwan Taipei District Court as the court of first instance for disputes.
There is a regular (free) membership, while unlimited live macro charts, exclusive reports and the toolbox are listed as paid-plan benefits. As captured on October 5, 2026, Prime is listed at USD 25 per month or about USD 20.95 per month billed annually.
Generally no. Individual-plan payments are non-refundable within the bounds of applicable law, and enterprise subscriptions are not refunded.
Downloads are a business-tier feature, and the two plan pages state different monthly limits (200 and 500). Even then, subscription data may not be used for commercial profit.
One account can be active on no more than two devices or browsers at a time, and account sharing is prohibited.
