Transkriptor is an AI transcription service that turns uploaded audio and video files, online meetings and live recordings into editable text, then adds summaries, transcript chat and meeting analytics on top. Its core service has three parts: converting audio files uploaded through the website into text, generating AI-powered concise summaries, and recording online meetings and screens for automatic transcription.
Transkriptor's website is owned and provided by TEXTINTEL FZE, a company headquartered at Starcamp Global, DWTC The Offices One, in the UAE.
Three points shape most buying decisions. Paid plans are sold as monthly minute allowances that reset every cycle. The free tier works like a short trial with per-file output caps. And the company's privacy pages make strong no-training and EU-hosting statements that do not fully line up with each other. Each point is covered below with the exact limits.
These layers are not all available on every plan. AI summary, AI chat and the knowledge base sit in the Pro list, while custom vocabulary and call analysis sit in the Team list, so the plan you choose decides how much of this section you actually get.
The basic audio to text workflow starts from the Upload & Transcribe card on the Transkriptor homepage.
Turning on the Keep Video option saves the meeting's video recording as well as the transcript.
For meeting transcription, the practical choice is between the meeting assistant, which joins the call as a visible participant, and the desktop app, which records locally and does not announce itself. Interviews and podcasts follow the upload route instead, where the format list and the long-file splitting rules matter more than meeting settings.
Transkriptor pricing is built around monthly transcription minutes, and the pricing page lists all plans in US dollars as captured on October 5, 2026.
| Plan | Monthly billing | Annual billing | Transcription time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lite | $9.99/month | Not listed on the annual tab | 300 minutes per month |
| Pro | $19.99/month | $8.33/month, billed $99.99 per year | 2,400 minutes per month |
| Team | $30/month per seat | $20/month per seat, billed $240 per year | 3,000 minutes per seat per month |
Pro adds AI summary, custom meeting summary templates, AI chat and a knowledge base, and Team adds the collaboration and call-analysis tools listed under Who is it for. Minutes are valid for one month from the start or renewal date and unused minutes do not roll over, which also applies to yearly plans, so an annual subscription still refreshes its allowance every month.
Heavier users can buy bulk packages from 100 hours at $60/month up to 1,000 hours at $600/month, with 50% off on annual billing, for example 100 hours at $30/month billed $360 a year.
Free access is described inconsistently across official pages. Cancelling a paid plan means switching to an option labelled 'Free - 90 Minutes', while a homepage FAQ answer says the free option allows transcribing up to 30 minutes of audio per day. The trial caps that apply to free accounts are listed under Limitations.
Two comparison points differ from Transkriptor in how they meter usage or who produces the transcript.
There is a free tier, but it behaves like a trial: 90 minutes in total, output capped at 80% of each file up to 7 minutes, and one file at a time. A homepage FAQ answer separately mentions up to 30 minutes of audio per day.
The security page says customer content is never used for AI training, but the pricing page presents the same promise only as a Pro plan item.
Yes. The desktop app for Windows and macOS records from your computer, so no bot appears in the participant list, though it also does not notify participants automatically.
No. Minutes reset every month from the subscription start or renewal date, including on annual plans.
A full refund of the most recent subscription fee can be requested within seven days of payment, once per customer, and remaining days after a cancellation are not refunded.
