What is MyClaw?

MyClaw is a managed cloud service that keeps an AI agent such as OpenClaw or Hermes Agent running on a dedicated server, so the agent stays online when your own computer is off. The company describes MyClaw as the managed platform for deploying, running, and scaling AI agents, with one-click setup and no DevOps work on the customer side.

The product began as OpenClaw hosting. MyClaw calls itself managed cloud hosting for OpenClaw, the open-source AI assistant, and says it takes care of the servers, updates and maintenance so customers do not have to touch a terminal.

MyClaw is not the OpenClaw project. In its own words: "MyClaw is an independent service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to the OpenClaw project or its maintainers." In practice it is a separate, paid hosting layer that runs open-source agent software on a customer's behalf. The site footer carries a copyright notice for Cubo World Inc.

Scope matters when reading the marketing. The plan cards state that each plan is available for OpenClaw and Hermes Agent. The homepage agent switcher also shows Claude Code and Codex, but the plan cards name only OpenClaw and Hermes Agent.

Core features

MyClaw's managed AI agent hosting pairs a cloud machine with agent software that arrives installed and configured.

Hosted agent runtime

  • Dedicated instance: every subscription comes with its own dedicated OpenClaw instance rather than a shared chatbot account.
  • Managed upkeep: one-click deploy, auto-updates, daily backups and 24/7 uptime are listed as part of the service.
  • Console plus UI: MyClaw keeps the OpenClaw runtime visible but moves daily work into a simpler interface for tasks, approvals, results and settings.

What the agents do

MyClaw says OpenClaw and Hermes Agent go beyond chat: they browse, write code, generate files, draft pages, and return results you can use. Scheduling is central to the pitch. Daily reports, price monitoring, inbox triage and page watching are the named examples, with the hosted agent running on schedule and asking only when review is needed.

For Hermes Agent hosting, MyClaw describes Hermes as an agent that researches, writes code, runs tools, and turns successful work into reusable skills. The company says every solved task updates the agent's memory and skills, which is a vendor description of how Hermes improves rather than a measured result.

Models, connectors and skills

  • Model choice: MyClaw says the agent can use Claude for reasoning, GPT for coding, Gemini for long context, DeepSeek for cost control, and 200+ more models through compatible providers.
  • Connectors: Gmail, Google Docs, Google Calendar, Google Sheets, Slack, Shopify, Canva, Salesforce, WhatsApp, Telegram, GitHub, Notion, Box, Discord, ClickUp, Jira, Linear and Trello.
  • Skills Hub: a catalogue of community-built OpenClaw skills, showing 364 skills as captured on October 4, 2026.

Slack app

A single MyClaw Slack app serves a whole workspace. You connect a Slack workspace once, then choose which OpenClaw or Hermes instance, or sub-agent, can work in each channel. A task starts when someone mentions @MyClaw, and follow-up messages in the same thread continue the selected agent's task without another mention.

Backup restore and migration

New OpenClaw instances can start from an existing backup instead of a blank setup. You can pick a backup already stored in your MyClaw account or upload a local OpenClaw backup in .tar.gz or .zip format, up to 2 GB. The restore option is limited to OpenClaw instances, so a new Hermes instance cannot be created from a backup this way.

Guide

Launching an instance

  1. Pick a plan on the pricing page; every plan includes a dedicated OpenClaw instance.
  2. MyClaw then sets up a dedicated instance configured for your account.
  3. Give the agent a goal in the chat window and let it work through the task.

Connecting a Telegram bot

  1. Search for @BotFather in Telegram and start a conversation.
  2. Start a chat and type /newbot, then follow the prompts to name the bot and choose a username.
  3. Copy the bot token that BotFather sends back.
  4. Paste the token into your OpenClaw dialogue box and ask the agent to configure the Telegram connection for you.

Adding agents to Slack

  1. Sign in to MyClaw, open Extensions, choose Slack, and approve the MyClaw app.
  2. Select an OpenClaw or Hermes instance, optionally pick a sub-agent, and enable the channels where it should work.
  3. Mention @MyClaw in a connected channel, choose an eligible instance when asked, and continue in the same thread.

For a private Slack channel, invite @MyClaw to the channel before enabling it in MyClaw.

When an instance stops responding

  1. Go to your Dashboard sidebar, find the Server section, and click Restart; MyClaw says this solves most minor hanging issues.
  2. If a restart does not help, the last resort is deleting the instance in the Server section and creating a new one under the same plan.

Use cases and examples

MyClaw publishes guides for recurring agent jobs:

  • Coding agents: run AI coding agents for PR reviews, tests, debugging, and repo maintenance from an always-on MyClaw workspace.
  • SEO work: host an OpenClaw SEO agent for audits, keyword briefs, competitor checks and weekly reports.
  • Email automation: an AI email agent sorts the inbox, drafts follow-ups, handles email marketing replies and routes tasks.
  • Competitor monitoring: scheduled checks cover prices, Amazon listings, emails, launches and retail market changes.
  • Customer support: the support guide covers answering, triaging, routing and escalating customer conversations.
  • Team assistant: each team member gets their own AI workspace for drafts, questions, and task context while still drawing from approved shared knowledge.

Customer quotes on the OpenClaw page show the intended pattern. A UK sales lead says leads now get checked five times a day, with Monday's numbers sent to WhatsApp before standup. A US startup founder says the agent returned research, positioning and a 12-slide deck from an industry name and three competitors. These are testimonials selected by MyClaw, not independent case studies.

Who is it for

MyClaw's comparison page names four groups:

  • Developers who want OpenClaw running 24/7 without babysitting a server.
  • Makers who would rather build than configure Docker and Nginx.
  • People setting up OpenClaw for family members or non-technical friends.
  • Teams that need multiple isolated instances with shared knowledge.

It fits less well in a few situations. MyClaw's own Alibaba Cloud page says self-hosting is the better route when a team truly needs cloud-account ownership, provider-specific architecture, or a policy that keeps deployment inside its own account. The terms require users to be at least 18 years old, or the legal age in their jurisdiction. Users located in U.S.-embargoed countries, or listed on U.S. restricted-party lists, may not use the service.

The service also assumes customers will supervise their own automation. The terms make the customer solely responsible for configuring and supervising any agents built on the service, and MyClaw disclaims liability for what those agents do.

Platforms

  • Web dashboard: new instances are created from the MyClaw dashboard through a Create New Claw flow.
  • Any device: the comparison page says the private OpenClaw instance is accessible from any device, and lists the technical skill required as just an email address.
  • Messaging channels: MyClaw's OpenClaw comparison table lists 15+ app channels. The channel-connection tutorial covers Telegram and WhatsApp and marks Discord as "Coming soon".
  • Agent types: OpenClaw and Hermes Agent each have a hosting page; backup restore applies to OpenClaw only.

Pricing

MyClaw pricing is a flat subscription for the cloud machine, with AI model usage billed on top. The plan cards captured on October 4, 2026 showed the yearly view:

PlanShown per month (yearly view)Yearly chargeStruck-through pricevCPU / RAM / SSDMonthly trafficExtra AI credits shown
Lite$16.6$199$29/mo2 / 4 GB / 40 GB3 TBNone listed
Pro$33.3$399$59/mo4 / 8 GB / 80 GB5 TB$100
Max$66.6$799$119/mo8 / 16 GB / 160 GB10 TB$150
Ultra$133.3+$1,599$239/mo1664 / 32128 GB / 320~1280 GB20 TB$200

AI token usage isn't included in the subscription, so model calls cost extra beyond the plan price. Priority support is listed for Pro and above. Ultra adds high-performance guaranteed resources.

The monthly-billing price is not settled by the public pages. The struck-through figures above sit next to the yearly price, while MyClaw's comparison page says plans start "From $19/mo" and the refund policy's worked example charges the Lite plan $19 per used month. These pages disagree, and the monthly checkout price was not visible without signing in.

Refunds and cancellation

  • Monthly plans: cancel anytime with no cancellation fee; service runs to the end of the billing period, and there are no prorated refunds for the remaining days of the month.
  • Annual plans: after cancellation, each month used is charged at the standard monthly rate and the rest of the annual payment is refunded.
  • AI credits: credits already used are non-refundable; an unused balance can be refunded on request, and the request must be made while the account is active.
  • Free trial: the pricing FAQ says there is no free trial but offers a 7-day money-back guarantee.

The legal terms are stricter: they state that fees are non-refundable unless required by law, and that subscriptions may renew automatically. The refund policy itself says the Terms of Service prevail if the two conflict. Approved refunds take 5–10 business days and are calculated in USD.

MyClaw alternatives

Because MyClaw hosts open-source software, the main alternatives are other ways of running the same agent:

  • Run OpenClaw yourself: OpenClaw presents itself as open source and running on your own machine. MyClaw's comparison notes that a local install stops when the laptop sleeps, cannot run scheduled tasks overnight, and leaves updates to you.
  • Self-host on a VPS: full control and 24/7 uptime, but MyClaw notes it needs Linux experience, Docker knowledge and ongoing time for patches, SSL certificates and debugging. Its comparison table puts this at $5–20/mo plus your time.
  • Alibaba Cloud: official Alibaba routes include Simple Application Server, Compute Nest on ECS and a cloud computer option, but your team still owns the account, upgrades, backups and incident response.
  • Other managed OpenClaw hosts: Hostinger's 1-click OpenClaw comes with AI credits pre-installed, which contrasts with MyClaw's separate token billing. A third-party AI tools directory also lists 1ClickClaw, TurboClaw and Clawly among MyClaw alternatives.

Limitations

Stability and agent risk

  • Freezes: MyClaw's own self-rescue guide says OpenClaw occasionally performs complex operations that might lead to a system loop or a temporary freeze, because it has deep system-level permissions.
  • Destructive reset: the last-resort fix permanently erases all data, including the agent's memory, conversation history and custom configurations.
  • Uptime wording differs: the comparison page marks MyClaw's 24/7 uptime as "guaranteed". The terms, however, say MyClaw does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service and that downtime may occur.
  • Plan limits: usage must stay within plan limits, and MyClaw may throttle or suspend usage when limits are exceeded.
  • Output accuracy: the terms warn that AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading.
  • Third-party agent actions: the acceptable-use rules prohibit deploying autonomous agents that interact with third-party services without authorization.

One third-party review platform showed 10 reviews with a 2.0 score for MyClaw as captured on October 4, 2026, which is too small a sample for a quality verdict. Within those 10 reviews, two describe crashes or freezing sessions, and two say they only learned after subscribing that AI usage needs separately purchased credits.

Liability and disputes

  • MyClaw's total liability is capped at the amount you paid in the last 12 months or $100, whichever is greater.
  • Disputes go to binding arbitration in Wilmington, Delaware, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

Privacy and data rights

MyClaw's marketing promises an isolated container, an encrypted connection and zero data sharing, adding: "We don't access your conversations. We don't train on your data. Ever." The legal documents are narrower in places:

  • The privacy policy says MyClaw may process configurations, prompts, files, and other data stored on your managed instance to provide the service and AI features.
  • You keep ownership of your content, but grant MyClaw a license to host, process, transmit and display it solely for operating, maintaining, and improving the service.
  • Data received through Google Workspace APIs is not used to develop, improve, or train generalized AI or machine learning models.
  • Slack data is not used for advertising, sold to third parties, or used to train generalized AI or machine learning models.
  • Slack content may be sent to the MyClaw instance and the AI service provider you selected to generate a result.
  • Instance data follows the life of the instance and may be deleted when the instance is terminated.
  • Data may be transferred to and processed in the United States, with contractual safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses where required.
  • Card payments are processed by Stripe, and MyClaw says it does not store full card numbers.

FAQ

Q1. Is MyClaw the official OpenClaw service?

No. MyClaw says it is an independent service with no affiliation, endorsement or official connection to the OpenClaw project or its maintainers. It hosts the open-source software for paying customers.

Q2. Does a MyClaw plan include AI model usage?

No. Token usage is billed separately from the subscription. The yearly cards for Pro, Max and Ultra show extra AI credits of $100, $150 and $200, while Lite lists none.

Q3. Can I move an existing OpenClaw setup to MyClaw?

Yes, for OpenClaw. On your local machine, run the command openclaw backup create to produce an official backup file, then upload it while creating a new MyClaw instance. If the restore fails, the instance is still created as a fresh OpenClaw instance.

Q4. Does deleting an instance delete my backups?

Not necessarily. A MyClaw backup may remain available even after its original instance has been deleted, and you can use it to create a new instance. The instance itself, with its memory and history, is erased when deleted.
