What is Design Bundles?

Design Bundles is a web-based design marketplace and SVG subscription for crafters, makers and small craft businesses, combining a large download library with browser editing tools and an AI design suite. • Commercial rights on Unlimited: Every Unlimited download is said to include the Premium and print-on-demand commercial license, with no per-design fees.

Design Bundles Creator

Design Bundles Creator is the company's AI suite for generating images, editing existing projects or starting from a text prompt, positioned for print-and-cut craft output. It comes with the Unlimited and Business tiers rather than Hobbyist, and what it produces is governed by separate ownership terms covered under Limitations. The generation itself is not fully in-house: the terms say some designs and assets on the site or produced with its tools are generated through third-party AI integrations and cloud engines.

Easy Edits

Easy Edits, listed as exclusive software included with Unlimited, lets members open an Easy Edits file in the browser to change colours, swap text and resize layers without design software, then download a ready-to-cut file. The tool suits small personalisation changes to an existing layout rather than building a design from scratch.

Member perks

Members are promised a 24-hour head start on every event plus a support team of crafters and designers rather than a chatbot.

Free downloads without a plan

Free fonts, graphics, SVGs and templates need only a free Design Bundles account; a paid subscription is not required, and the trial offer that may appear after a free download is optional.

How the Unlimited trial works

1. Start the 7-day free trial of Unlimited, which allows up to 30 product downloads with no payment until day 7.
2. Choose monthly or yearly billing at sign-up; unless cancelled, the trial then continues automatically as a paid Unlimited subscription on that billing option.
3. If the 30-download cap is reached before day seven, either wait for the trial to convert or start the paid subscription early to keep downloading.
4. If the trial ends without converting, products downloaded during the trial cannot be downloaded again once the trial or subscription is inactive, until Unlimited is reactivated.

Cancelling or pausing

• Cancelling: Cancellation happens in the Plan and Billing section of the account, and the subscription stays active until the end of the current billing period.
• Pausing: Monthly subscriptions can be paused for up to three months in total each year, while yearly subscriptions cannot currently be paused.

Design Bundles use cases and examples

The license terms, more than the catalog, decide which of these jobs a plan actually covers.

• Machine crafts: The homepage showcases machine embroidery, papercut, cross stitch and laser cut projects, such as a bee embroidery design, a 3D paper lantern and a laser-cut step stand.
• Selling physical goods made at home: Under the Premium license, members can make and sell an unlimited number of finished physical goods, such as clothing, drinkware, household linens, posters, jewelry and stickers, produced with their own equipment.
• Print-on-demand stores: The included print-on-demand license allows designs to be sent as-is to third-party printers, POD platforms such as Merch by Amazon, Redbubble, Printify and Zazzle, or outside manufacturers.

• Team customizer tools: The Corporate license on Business adds use of fonts and graphics inside company-run design templates or customizer platforms such as Templett or Corjl, as long as the output is a flattened file or printed product.
• Production tools for customers: The Corporate license also covers unlimited physical goods, transfers, stencils, dies, molds and stamps, made for company use or sold to customers as finished tools.
• Video and high-traffic sites: Where the Premium license caps web fonts by page views, the Corporate license allows unlimited web-font page views on company-owned sites and unlimited views across broadcasting projects such as TV, streaming, film and commercial video.

Selling new digital files is the narrowest case, because the license requires genuine transformation of the purchased elements, as set out under Limitations.

Who is it for

• Hobbyists making gifts and personal projects: Hobbyist may suit people making personal projects who need only a small number of products each month, but its downloads cannot be used for commercial products or print-on-demand.
• Regular crafters and small sellers: Unlimited may suit regular crafters, designers and small businesses that download frequently. Its license is a single-user lifetime license covering personal and commercial end products, plus as-is print-on-demand and third-party manufacturing rights.
• Teams and companies: Business is intended for teams and organisations that need broader licensing. Its Corporate license applies to all employees and members across unlimited company-owned computers and devices within one company or organization.
• Age requirement: The site may only be used, and orders placed, by people at least 18 years old.

The service fits poorly for sellers whose model is reselling raw files, alphabet sets or lightly edited graphics, and for anyone who needs to own the intellectual property in AI-generated output, since the license and Creator terms below rule these out.

Pricing

The official membership page shows the monthly figures of $11.99, $24.99 after a 7-day trial, and $97.99, and states that prices exclude tax, which is calculated at checkout. The annual figures come from the vendor's help center rather than the membership page. Membership credits, which is how the help center describes the Hobbyist allowance, cannot be rolled over to the next billing cycle and are not redeemable for cash.

Renewals, changes and refunds

• Auto-renewal: Memberships renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle until cancelled.
• Plan changes: An upgrade is charged at the new fee less a pro-rata credit for unused fees, while a downgrade takes effect from the next billing cycle.
• Cooling-off period: Consumers can cancel within 14 days of accepting the terms for a full refund, but the right is lost once they download a design or run a digital generation during that period.
• Later payments: After the cooling-off period, the most recent payment may be refunded when the request comes within five days of collection and the subscription has not been used since, with downloading products counting as use.

In practice, both refund routes close as soon as files are downloaded, so evaluation before paying rests on the free resources and the 30-download trial.

Alternatives and pay-per-product options

• Buying without Unlimited: Individual products from the standard marketplace and $1 Deal Events are sold separately, and members still pay for them, with a discount on items not already discounted.

Limitations

Fair use behind "unlimited"

• No published cap, but monitored: There is no single published daily download limit on Unlimited or Business; fair usage is judged on activity, downloading with bots or scripts or sharing account logins can be restricted, and flagged accounts may see slower downloads, download restrictions or suspended access during review.
• Throttling is allowed: The terms define "unlimited" as continuous tool availability rather than unrestricted backend processing power, and allow processing priority to be reduced, generation engines throttled or tool speeds degraded under heavy use.

License boundaries

• Personal tier: The Personal license covers personal projects and gifting only and excludes commercial use, including donations that earn brand recognition or exposure.
• Digital resale needs transformation: Minor changes such as simple recoloring or minimal text additions to an as-is graphic do not meet the transformative threshold for new digital products.
• No raw-file redistribution: Reselling or redistributing raw design or font files, extracting individual elements to share, or handing raw files to third parties for their own use is prohibited.
• No alphabet sets: Font glyphs cannot be turned into standalone SVG, PNG or embroidery alphabet sets for customers to assemble their own words.
• Usage rights, not ownership: Copyright stays with the original creator and Design Bundles Ltd, and licenses grant non-exclusive usage rights rather than ownership.

Creator output terms

• Ownership: Intellectual property in what users make with Creator vests in Design Bundles upon creation.
• Publishing to export: Downloading or exporting certain Creator items may require publishing them to a shared community library that other users can see.
• License back to the user: Users get a non-exclusive, revocable license to use final exported Creator assets for any personal or commercial purpose.

After cancelling

• Re-download access: Downloads keep a lifetime license after cancellation, but Unlimited members lose the ability to download their Unlimited items again from the account.
• Hobbyist allowance: Products claimed with the Hobbyist monthly allowance stay available in the account after the subscription ends, though unused monthly downloads can no longer be spent.

Privacy and data
