AlfaPTE (styled "Alfa PTE" on its own pages) is an online practice platform for the Pearson Test of English that runs in the browser and in iOS and Android apps. It positions itself as a practice platform for PTE Academic / UKVI and PTE Core preparation, built around a large question bank, AI-scored mock tests and score analytics. PTE Core practice sits alongside PTE Academic and UKVI material in the same account.
The site is explicit about its relationship with the test owner. Alfa describes itself as an independent test preparation platform that is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Pearson Education Ltd or Pearson VUE. Its scores therefore come from AlfaPTE's own AI rather than from Pearson, which matters when reading the accuracy claims below.
The disclaimer names Alfa Education as the developer of the practice portal. Its About page says AlfaPTE was born from an established Australian training school. The founder's message dates the launch to December 2018. The company timeline reports reaching 1 million registered users in March 2024, a vendor-reported milestone. The same timeline says over 2,000 institutes were using its institute software by January 2025. The company has since expanded beyond PTE with an IELTS practice platform.
AlfaPTE offers full mock tests, sectional mock tests and a "Create Your Own Mock Test" option that lets you assemble a test from questions you choose. In the custom (CYO) builder you select question types, modules and difficulty levels, which makes it possible to rehearse only the tasks that cost you points.
The homepage counter, as captured on October 5, 2026, listed 20,000+ questions, 302 full tests, 516 sectional tests and 120 timed mock tests. The counter does not break these totals down by exam.
The PTE Academic / UKVI mock tests are described as following the latest format, including two newly added question types aligned with the changes effective 7 August 2025. Candidates who sit the exam after that date can therefore practise the new task types inside a full PTE mock test rather than only as separate drills.
After each mock test you receive section-wise scores, question-level analysis, strengths and weaknesses, time-management insights and improvement suggestions. In the app you can also set a target score and get a report after each session that highlights strengths, mistakes and a study guide.
Reset Profile permanently deletes all practice history, including mock test scores, and cannot be undone. Deleting the profile also permanently removes your subscription, practice results and account details in one step.

Language support is described inconsistently. The app page says the mobile app is available in 24 languages. The Google Play description says 25 major languages, including English, Hindi, Nepali, Bangla, Arabic, Spanish, French, Turkish, Filipino, Persian and Malay. The US App Store lookup, however, lists English as the app's only language.
AlfaPTE sells one Premium plan in four durations of 10, 30, 60 and 90 days, plus pay-per-test mock test packs. Every Premium duration unlocks all available features; only the length of access changes.

Prices are in USD as displayed on the rendered pricing pages on October 5, 2026; the 60-day Premium option at $23.95 carried a Most Popular label. Among mock test packs, the 3-unit pack at $8.95 was labelled Most Popular, and all packs were marked as having no expiry.
The plan comparison lists the same 20,000 practice questions for Free and Premium users; what changes is AI scoring (limited versus unlimited), the number of mock tests and access to templates. The free tier gives 5 AI score checks per day for Speaking, Reading and Listening questions (except Summarize Spoken Text), plus 3 one-time checks for Writing and Summarize Spoken Text. The pricing FAQ promises one free full mock test and one free sectional mock test, with no credit card required. The mock-test page's FAQ instead says 1 full and 4 sectional free mock tests are available. A heading on that same page advertises 200+ free PTE exam mock tests. The pages do not reconcile these figures.
Plans can be paid by credit card, debit card, PayPal or other online methods. In countries such as India, Nepal, Bangladesh and Pakistan, local payment methods are accepted, and some regions have resellers selling the plan directly.
The pricing FAQ says a plan cannot be cancelled or changed once purchased. The separate refund policy does allow cancellation if you email help@alfapte.com within 30 minutes of payment. Purchased mock tests are excluded, because access once given cannot be revoked. Approved refunds can take up to 5 business days, and third-party payment fees mean you may not receive the full amount back. Refunds are not issued for missing an active promotion.
Institute plans run for 30, 60, 90, 180 or 365 days. A minimum of 5 accounts must be bought to use the institute software. Purchased institute credits do not expire and can be allocated to students later. The same credits can be used for both PTE and IELTS students. AlfaPTE also sells PTE exam vouchers, but only for booking PTE Academic or PTE Core within India. Buying a voucher adds an extra 20% discount on the Premium subscription. Those vouchers are non-refundable and are generally valid for 6 to 11 months.
The website privacy policy reviewed for this profile does not mention voice or audio recordings, and it does not say whether user data is used to train AI models.
