Songcove is an AI song generator that turns a short written story into a personalized song for a gift. It generates lyrics, music, vocals and cover art using AI and third-party AI providers. The central choice is whose voice performs the song: a professionally styled Studio Voice or a clone of the person making the gift.
Song details include the recipient’s first name, your relationship, the occasion, genre, language and the story you want to tell. Memories, private jokes and a message give the lyrics their subject. Songcove writes original lyrics, sets them to the selected style and produces the vocal performance.
A custom song gift includes the song, cover art, personal note and shareable gift page. A lyric video, MP3 download and printable lyric art are optional formats on a single-song purchase and included with subscriptions.
The included revision allowance separates lyric changes from new musical takes. Lyrics can be rewritten three times before payment. Musical retakes compose another version from the same lyrics: one free retake is available before payment and two after payment, making three in total.
Payment unlocks the whole song, including sections outside the preview. The two post-payment retakes provide further compositions from the same lyrics. Songcove advises using the included post-payment retakes before finalizing a video or printable art so those extras match the chosen song.
Songcove says acoustic, ballad, folk, country and jazz leave the vocal more exposed, while hard rock, EDM and hip hop layer effects and production over it. Under that description, the latter styles sound more produced and less like the original speaker. These are the vendor’s descriptions of how the choice affects likeness, rather than independent measurements of cloning accuracy.
Songcove also describes a clear singing sample in a quiet room as carrying more of the user’s voice than a noisy clip. Its recognition and likeness descriptions are vendor claims, not measured results for every recording.
A lyric video can use your photos and clips, an MP3 provides audio for offline playback, and printable lyric art turns the words into a print. The Your Voice upgrade instead adds your cloned vocal on top of a song credit, keeping the studio version too.
Songcove says Studio Voice previews are usually ready in minutes, while Your Voice takes longer for recording, verification and cloning. The full song and gift page unlock immediately after payment; optional extras may take additional time. These are vendor delivery descriptions, not a guaranteed deadline.
Your Voice asks you to sing the words displayed on screen for 20–30 seconds using a phone or laptop. A short phrase generated live is then sung to verify that the voice belongs to the person recording. The model is used to sing the story’s finished song.
Polished singing is not required, according to the product description. The documented steps nevertheless use live recording and verification. The reviewed pages do not specify accepted recording-upload formats or establish an existing file as a substitute.
Birthday songs can include a name or nickname, memories and a birthday message, with editable lyrics. Songcove describes the result as an original song rather than a name replacement in the traditional Happy Birthday tune. Available styles include Birthday Pop, Acoustic, Country, Hip Hop and Kids & Family; the message can be funny, warm or sentimental.
An anniversary brief can include where the couple met, a shared challenge, a private joke and something still loved about the recipient. These prompts supply the relationship story, while Studio Voice or the gift maker’s verified voice determines its performer.
Wedding uses include a first dance, a gift to the couple and a wedding-party surprise.
Memorial songs concern a remembered life and story. This does not authorize cloning a deceased person: the terms allow only the recording user’s own voice, even with someone else’s permission.
Gift pages open through a link or QR code in a browser, without an app or recipient sign-up. Creator account and payment requirements are separate from recipient access.
The public creation screen lists English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and Dutch, plus 33 more language choices. It also offers both vocal routes and a genre selector.
Voice set-up requires an account. The privacy policy says Songcove keeps no recording copy or model record, while the recording stays in the browser until sign-out and is sent to the music and voice AI provider.
The prices below were captured on November 2, 2026. A single song is a one-time purchase, while subscriptions provide a monthly song allowance. The free listening stage is a 60-second preview rather than a free full-song download.

Elite adds priority generation and support. Both one-time options include the preview and three retakes, split one before and two after payment. The single-song price alone excludes MP3 download.
Annual billing charges once for the year. Songcove describes the saving as about 40% compared with paying monthly; the monthly figures below are displayed equivalents, not a monthly charge on the annual plan.

Standalone songs and extras remain in the account until used; membership allowances are for their particular month. Annual payment changes the billing period, while the listed song allocation remains monthly.
Subscriptions can be cancelled anytime, with access through billing-period end. The pricing page says finished songs stay yours forever; this does not expand the terms’ personal-use license into commercial rights.
Custom digital orders are generally non-refundable once the full song is unlocked or generated. Songcove says it will try to make things right for problems on its side. Preview access and retakes are not an unconditional satisfaction-refund promise.
These are differences in production paths, without evidence establishing better sound or stronger emotional effects for any service.
Your Voice allows only a recording of your own voice and requires live verification. The terms expressly prohibit submitting or cloning another person’s voice, even with that person’s permission. They also prohibit deception, fraud, harassment and impersonation. A song for a partner, a family member or someone remembered is therefore not permission to use that person’s voice model.
Live verification is a declared control, not a tested guarantee against impersonation. The reviewed public pages do not describe a celebrity-voice selector; the stated scope is the recording owner’s voice.
Paid songs, videos and printable lyric art may be used for personal, non-commercial gifting, sharing, printing and keeping. The terms direct commercial-use requests to Songcove. They also say the company cannot guarantee a wholly unique song or that a similar song will never be produced for someone else. “Original” in the product description is not an independent guarantee of copyright ownership or uniqueness.
You retain ownership of submitted content and must hold the necessary rights and permissions. Songcove and its AI providers receive a limited processing license for creating and delivering orders and operating and maintaining the service. This input-content clause is separate from permission to use generated outputs.
Anyone with the gift link can open it, including a forwarded recipient. Pages are unlisted and marked not for search indexing, and sharing can be turned off. “Private” therefore describes link access and indexing controls rather than a named-recipient restriction.
Music and voice providers receive lyrics and, for Your Voice, the recording. Text and image providers receive story details for lyrics and artwork; a payment processor handles payment.
Songcove keeps information as needed for the service, orders and legal, accounting or fraud-prevention purposes. Users can request deletion, but AI providers may retain data under their own policies. Signing out removes the recording and saved voice identifiers from the device; it does not request immediate deletion at the provider. The reviewed privacy and voice pages do not state a model-training policy, so they do not support a promise that submitted material is never used for training.
The policy says lyric-video photos are rendered entirely in the browser, without upload to Songcove’s servers. Later sharing of a photo-based video on a recipient page requires explicit consent. The local-rendering statement and subsequent sharing permission concern different stages.
Account self-closure cancels membership and deletes songs, share pages, saved drafts and order history. Already-gifted songs can be kept working if the user chooses. The policy preserves exceptions for the provider’s voice model and payment records that must be retained; account closure is not described as immediate deletion of all provider-held material.
Visit, creation, checkout and error records may link to an internal account ID and earlier anonymous activity in the journey. The policy says events exclude email, stories, lyrics, recordings and sign-in tokens; Google Analytics receives a pseudonymous identifier instead of raw account IDs. These are vendor statements, not an independent audit.
Songcove does not warrant uninterrupted or error-free service, or that an AI song will meet expectations. Its terms describe AI output as unpredictable. Published samples do not establish the quality or emotional effect of a future order.
A pronunciation hint can be included in the story, such as “Siobhan (shi-VAWN).” Songcove says pronunciation can vary, so the hint is not a guarantee.
Every purchase produces a downloadable invoice. Past invoices appear under Manage billing on the account page, alongside the card on file and any membership.
More songs can be made in your own voice, but the model is temporary and may expire. A future song may need a new set-up and live verification. If the original recording remains in that browser it can be reused for set-up; otherwise another recording is needed. Signing out or clearing site data removes the local recording, while songs already made with the voice keep working.
