Simplify is an AI job search platform that describes itself as a personal AI talent agent for job seekers and an AI-native talent agency for companies. One profile drives everything else: Simplify matches it against millions of openings, autofills applications with the Copilot extension, tailors your resume per role, and tracks every application in one place.
Simplify's founders launched the company in 2021 and joined the Y Combinator Winter 2021 cohort. An independent tech news report on February 7, 2024 covered a $3 million seed round led by Craft Ventures, with YC, Hyphen Capital, GFC and several industry angels also taking part.
Two modes shape most decisions: Simplify Copilot fills in forms and leaves the submit button to you, while Autopilot, a beta agent for a subset of paying members, submits applications on its own.
Simplify indexes postings directly from 50+ job boards and company career pages daily, then ranks them against your preferences and experience.
Simplify reads your resume the way a recruiter would, scoring it, naming the skills and keywords you're missing, and surfacing people you already know at the company. When you open a role, it reads the job description and rewrites your bullets in your own words, and you accept suggestions line by line.
The free resume builder lets you create and edit resume versions, choose from four professional templates, get an ATS Readiness Score with keyword matching, and export to PDF, with DOCX export for supported layouts. Simplify+ is described as an optional upgrade for AI rewriting, job-specific AI tailoring, AI chat and custom AI settings, and the free builder does not ask for a credit card.
Autopilot is an agent that opens the company's application portal, fills it in from your Simplify profile, tailors your resume and writes a cover letter if you asked it to, and submits the application. The help center states that choosing Autopilot means submitting, with no review step in between.
A separate marketing page describes Autopilot as private early access that applies to matching roles, "queuing them for your review or sending them automatically." The two official pages therefore differ on whether a review queue exists.
After you connect a LinkedIn account, Simplify maps your network against hiring companies and surfaces employees and hiring managers reachable through first-, second- or third-degree connections. Syncing Google Contacts or importing a spreadsheet of contacts widens that map.
With Simplify+, AI Email inside the Job Tracker drafts follow-ups after applying, recruiter outreach, referral requests, interview thank-you notes and offer-stage messages, using the company, role, job description and your profile already attached to that application.
The AI interviewer asks questions tailored to the exact job, company and industry you target, and it evaluates answers instantly with suggestions. Simplify also says every practice session enriches your candidate profile and feeds later job matches.
On pages without direct autofill, the Profile tab inside Copilot still shows your stored work experience, education, skills and resume bullet points, so you can copy them into the form by hand.
Copilot comes built into the Simplify iOS app as a Safari extension, but iOS keeps it switched off until you enable it once in Settings. When Safari asks about website access, choose All Websites and then Allow; after that, Copilot appears when you open a job application in Safari.
Simplify suits job seekers who send many online applications through common applicant tracking systems and want one profile to drive matching, resume tailoring and tracking.

Simplify is free for job seekers, with matches, autofill and the tracker included; the company says it makes money from Simplify+ subscriptions and from employers who hire through it. There is no limit on how many applications you can submit with Copilot, and autofill, the tracker, job matches and the basic resume builder are described as free for everyone.

The help center states that all Simplify+ plans include the same AI features and differ only in how long you want access. The App Store listing shows the same three in-app purchases: Simplify Plus - Weekly at $19.99, Monthly at $39.99 and 3 Months at $89.99. A subscription bought on the web or in the iOS app unlocks the same features everywhere you use Simplify.
Autopilot is in beta and, during the beta, is available to a subset of Simplify+ members; free-plan users need Simplify+ to use it. Autopilot members get 20 credits a week, and a credit is only spent when an application is actually submitted.
Subscriptions renew automatically. Once a subscription is activated and you have gained access to Simplify services, all payments are non-refundable. If a renewal was charged unintentionally, Simplify may provide a pro-rated refund when you contact it within 24 hours of the renewal charge, minus payment processing fees. App Store purchases are billed by Apple, and Simplify cannot issue a refund for them. If subscription pricing changes, the terms say the new price applies no earlier than your next renewal.

Jobright Autofill describes itself as instantly completing every field on thousands of ATS sites, so it competes directly with Copilot autofill. Teal is organized around saving jobs, contacts, companies and resumes in one place, so it fits people whose main need is tracking and organizing a search.
The Copilot extension processes the job postings you view and the structure and content of application forms, including field labels, answer options and the values you enter or that it fills. It also stores a copy of your profile, resume and recent answers locally on your device. Simplify says it does not use extension data for advertising, does not sell it, and does not use it to train generalized AI or machine-learning models.
That limit is narrower than it sounds. The privacy policy says Simplify may use information from the service, including behavioral signals such as jobs you view, save, dismiss or apply to, to train and improve its own AI, recommendation, ranking and matching systems. It never uses your voluntary self-identification information to train any model. The policy reviewed for this page did not describe a dedicated opt-out from that internal training, although residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland are told they can restrict or object to processing.
Sharing with employers is described differently across official pages. The homepage FAQ says your profile is shared with employers only when you apply or choose to make it visible. The about page also mentions an option to hide your profile from employers. The privacy policy adds that, through recruiter matching, Simplify may present selected candidates to employers or recruiters even where a candidate has not separately applied to that employer.
