What is Renderforest?

Renderforest is a browser-based platform for AI videos, template animations, logos, mockups, graphics and websites in one account. The company describes it as an AI-powered creative platform that helps anyone make professional videos, designs, and websites in minutes.

Founder Narek Safaryan and his friends started building Renderforest in Yerevan, Armenia, and the Renderforest Video Maker was its first product. The Logo Maker was launched in 2018. The company says it has operated since 2013 and serves 40M+ creators.

Two points shape most decisions: each product line has its own pricing, with websites, video exports, logos and mockups also sold one at a time; and free use is narrow, since free video exports are HD 720 with a watermark and Renderforest's own pages disagree on commercial use of free output.

Core features

AI video generator

• Multi-model access: The AI video generator is powered by technologies like Google Veo 3.1, Kling 3.0 Omni, Seedance 2.5, Pixverse V6, Nano Banana Pro, GPT Image 2 and Grok Imagine, alongside Renderforest's own AI engine.
• Text, image or script input: A project starts from text, an image or a script; after the user picks a model, style and format, Renderforest generates visuals, voiceover and scenes to refine before export.
• Scene and video length: Each AI-generated scene typically runs 4 to 10 seconds, but Renderforest says a single generation can produce a complete video of up to 12 minutes.
• Voiceover: The generator offers voiceovers in 50+ languages with tone and emotion control.

The model list matters because credit costs differ by model. In the annual comparison table, Lite's allowance covers 36 Veo 3.1 videos at 720p / 4s. The same allowance covers 2400 Renderforest Fast videos at 720p / 1s.

Editor and video templates

Every generated clip lands in the Renderforest editor, where scenes can be trimmed and stitched, visuals replaced, individual shots regenerated, and a logo, brand colors, subtitles and licensed music added before resizing for YouTube, TikTok, Reels or Shorts.

The older template route remains: 1200+ video templates made by motion designers, covering intros, logo animations, explainers, slideshows and music visualizations. Template projects can reach 4K on Business, while AI generation currently outputs HD.

AI avatar videos and voice cloning

The avatar tool turns one portrait into a talking-head video with cloned or synthetic voices in 175+ languages. Users can upload a voice sample so avatar videos reflect their own voice, tone and speech patterns. The 50+ and 175+ language figures come from two different feature pages and are not reconciled there.

Logos, mockups and graphics

The Mockup Maker places uploaded content into customized images that can be downloaded for commercial and marketing purposes. The Logo Maker and Graphic Maker cover brand marks and marketing designs; logos carry their own licence terms, listed under Limitations.

AI website builder

The AI website builder generates responsive sites, and every site includes an AI copywriter called Text Wizard. Marketing integrations include Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Google AdSense, Google Tag Manager and a SEMRush keyword research tool.

Guide

Creating an AI video

1. Enter the idea: write a script, describe a concept or upload an image as the starting point.
2. Choose settings: pick a video style, then set voiceover, aspect ratio and duration before generating.
3. Generate, then refine the scenes in the editor before exporting.

Exporting without a subscription

1. Click Export in the top-right corner of the editor and select HD 1080; the free option, HD 720 with watermark, appears in the same menu.
2. Because HD 1080 requires an upgrade, a window opens that compares a single HD 1080 export against subscribing, and Buy now under the single-export option completes a one-time purchase.
3. After export, the Share option in My Projects posts the video directly to social media or gives a link to send by email or text.

Cancelling a subscription

• Web subscriptions (Paddle or YooKassa): Go to My Account, then Subscriptions, and open Details next to the plan; in the Subscription details window, Cancel subscription sits below the payment details.
• App Store: In the App Store account's Subscriptions list, tap Renderforest and turn off Automatic Renewal.
• Google Play: Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions, then Cancel subscription.

Renderforest use cases and examples

• Ecommerce product videos: Renderforest pitches its AI video maker to ecommerce brands for product demos, promotional clips and customer stories. A shop promoting its own products fits Lite or Pro; an agency doing it for clients needs Business.
• Training and lessons: Teachers and trainers are a named audience for turning lessons or tutorials into videos, and avatar videos in 175+ languages from a single portrait target international training content.
• Event pages: The website builder has built-in RSVP functionality, so an event site can collect responses without a separate form tool.

Who is it for

Renderforest presents itself as an all-in-one branding platform for freelancers, startups and small businesses creating commercial, promotional and marketing materials. Plan choice mainly depends on who the content is for:

• Creators and small businesses making their own content: The help center states that Lite and Pro are intended for your own use only and cannot be used to create content on behalf of other people or companies.
• Agencies, freelancers with clients and resellers: Client work and reselling require Business.
• Casual or personal users: The free tier covers personal experiments with watermarked exports.
• Less suited: Buyers who need exclusive logo designs or commercial rights without paying.

Platforms

• Web browser: The AI video generator runs entirely in the browser with no download or GPU requirement, works on desktop and mobile devices, and keeps projects in the cloud across signed-in devices.
• iOS: The iPhone app is listed as AI Video Maker - Renderforest. Its seller is Renderforest LLC. As captured on September 28, 2026, the US App Store listing required iOS 14.1 or later. The listing showed an average rating of about 4.78. It counted 3,023 ratings at capture.
• Android: As captured on September 28, 2026, the Google Play listing showed ads and in-app purchases, a 3.9 rating from 22.5K reviews, an Everyone 10+ rating and 1M+ downloads.
• Payments: Paddle.com is the merchant of record for web orders and handles customer service enquiries and returns; YooKassa is a second web payment route, and app subscriptions run through the stores.

Pricing

Renderforest pricing is split by product line: one subscription ladder (Lite, Pro, Business) plus one-off purchases for a website, a video export, a logo or a mockup. Prices are in USD as shown on September 28, 2026.

Subscription plans

The annual Lite card prints $12 beside its $8 price without explaining it. The annual Pro card shows $39 beside $19 and an "Up to 51% off" badge. The annual Business card prints $59 beside $39.

Three cells in the comparison table need care:

• In the video rows, the Lite cell of the "No watermarks or ads" line reads "60 export", and the page does not define that figure further.
• Only Business lists a reseller license, for up to 10 clients; Lite and Pro show a dash.
• Unlimited 4K videos require the Business plan, and 4K export is available only on templates that support 4K.

One-off purchases by product line

The website builder also has a free tier: unlimited free websites on a Renderforest subdomain with 500 MB storage.

Renderforest can be tried free with test credits, and sign-up requires no credit card.

Billing rules

• Auto-renewal: Any subscription plan renews automatically, and the card is billed unless the subscription is cancelled before the expiration date.
• Annual plans: All annual subscription plans are paid upfront; paying month by month requires a monthly plan.
• Upgrades: Moving to a higher plan charges only the price difference.
• Storage: More storage is only available by upgrading to a higher subscription plan.
• Refunds: Except when required by law, paid subscription fees are non-refundable; some requests may be granted case by case at the company's discretion.

Renderforest alternatives

Alternative lists for Renderforest name Canva, Vyond, Powtoon, Animaker, InVideo AI and Synthesia. Two have comparable entry plans:

• Powtoon: Powtoon's free plan offers 720p video quality, videos up to 3 minutes and a Powtoon watermark. Powtoon Lite costs $15 per month billed yearly and removes the watermark for 5 exports per month, with HD 1080p MP4 downloads.

Limitations

Watermarks and commercial-use rules

Renderforest's pages give different answers on commercial use:

• Terms and Conditions (last updated October 14, 2022): Users can export an unlimited number of low-quality videos with watermarks, and high-quality videos without watermarks by paying per project or subscribing to any plan. The Video Maker section allows exported videos in commercial projects and forbids removing the watermark from free downloads.
• Help center article (marked as modified on 25 September): Free-plan content is intended for personal, non-commercial use only, and the Renderforest watermark on free exports must not be removed.
• AI video generator FAQ: Generated videos can be used for commercial projects, including ads, client work and monetized channels, as long as the content complies with Renderforest's terms; this answer names no plan.
• Broadcast use: The Terms do not grant broadcast television, radio or theatrical rights unless the product is bought in HD1080 as a single export or the user subscribes to the Business plan.

Credits and "unlimited" usage

• AI credits are provided per subscription period and reset at the start of each billing cycle, and unused credits do not roll over.
• Any "unlimited" AI usage is available only while a Pro or higher subscription is active.
• The AI video FAQ says the free plan includes unlimited HD generation with the Renderforest model and that premium models such as Veo 3.1 come with a subscription instead of per-second credits; the pricing page meters those models through credits.
• AI generation currently outputs HD; 4K is only reachable through Renderforest's pre-made video projects.

Logo terms

• By using the Logo Maker, users let Renderforest use any version of their logo worldwide, free of charge, for referential, marketing and promotional purposes.
• Renderforest cannot guarantee that a logo will not be considerably similar, or even identical, to logos of other users.
• Once purchased and downloaded, a Renderforest logo may not be altered, modified or used for derivative works.
• Fees paid for a Renderforest logo are non-refundable.
• The AI logo generator page says logos download in JPG and PNG, with SVG downloads available soon, while the pricing page sells a vector SVG Premium Logo.

File retention

• The 60-day inactivity policy applies only to users without a paid plan or purchase; those who have not logged in for 60 days receive an email about the impending removal of their files.
• Without a login within 10 days of that email, files and projects are permanently removed and cannot be recovered.

Privacy and data handling

• Controller: Renderforest LLC, with a registered address in Yerevan, Armenia, is the GDPR controller of users' personal data.
• AI providers: Prompts and uploaded media go only to the provider of the AI model used for each request. Named video providers include OpenAI for Sora, BytePlus for Seedance, Nanonoble for Hailuo and MOTIVAI for Pixverse.
• Sale and marketing: Renderforest states that it does not sell personal data and that third-party AI providers are not authorized to use submitted materials for independent marketing or advertising.
• No opt-out: Users who do not want third-party AI processing are told not to use the AI generation features.
• Model training: In the pages checked, the privacy policy and AI terms do not say whether submitted materials may be used to train models.
• Likeness and consent: When submitted materials include a person's image, voice, likeness or identity, the user warrants having all required consents and permissions.
• Ownership: Users retain their rights to submitted materials, while ownership and permitted use of generated content depend on the plan and the Terms. Generated content may be similar or identical for different users, exclusivity is not guaranteed, and in some jurisdictions it may not qualify for intellectual property protection.
• Video visibility: The privacy policy says videos on the My Videos page are marked "unlisted" by default, so anyone with the link can view them until they are made private. The AI video FAQ, by contrast, says projects and uploads stay private to the account.

As captured on September 28, 2026, the company-level profile on a third-party review platform showed a 3.9 score from 656 reviews, with 76% five-star and 11% one-star ratings and 55 reviews in the previous 12 months. It rates the company overall, not a single product line.
