Setting up a persona

Before playing, you can define a persona. The persona panel asks what characters should call you and what they know about you, and the stated purpose is simple: tell the characters who you are and the story writes you in.

Building your own roleplay story

1. Write the character sheet. The builder asks for a background, what the character wants from you, behavior rules, personality traits and sample dialogue lines.
2. Add a hidden backstory. A dedicated field holds hidden truths, long-term arcs and secrets that steer the AI across future conversations without being shown up front.
3. Keep the greeting short. The creator tip is to keep the entire opening greeting under 200 characters and to use placeholders so the story addresses each player by their display name.
4. Create the opening visual. Choose a character image and describe how the character moves or greets the player. The tip is to show the character's face clearly, because this clip becomes both the story cover and the background of the first episode.
5. Or upload your own clip. Uploaded story videos must stay under 20MB. Clips longer than 10 seconds are rejected.
6. Direct later episodes. When a new episode is generated, a director option lets you describe the opening scene, camera movement, character actions, setting and mood.
7. Choose visibility. Stories and videos can be kept private or submitted as public; posts that break the Community Guidelines cannot be switched to public.

• Order of use: Daily credits refresh every day and are used first. Purchased extra credits do not expire and are spent only after the daily balance is gone.

• Live calls: a call has a timer. An auto-extend option can add more seconds for credits when the timer ends, but it is off by default, so the call simply ends. You're only charged once the call connects, and the first call of the day carries a bonus of 60 extra seconds.
• Subscriptions: the pages are not consistent. The purchase FAQ says subscription plans are being worked on and expected to launch soon. The support page, however, already explains that if you cancel, your current plan remains active until the end of the billing cycle, and the terms describe a no-refund policy for subscriptions.
• Developer API: the API is billed in API Energy, a prepaid balance that is a separate ledger; consumer credits and subscriptions do not cross over to it. The billing clock starts when media connects, so a session that never connects media is never billed.

Limitations
