Photiu.ai is an online photo-editing suite that combines AI background removal, image upscaling, object erasing, and text-to-image generation.
The terms identify PHOTIU INTERNATIONAL CO. LIMITED as the operator. Alongside the AI tools, Photiu.ai offers a browser image resizer, image compressor, and HEIC converter.
The main cost distinction is between free background-removal previews and credit-based high-resolution processing. Free credits also have a Basic-model boundary.
The AI background remover separates a subject from its backdrop, with transparent PNG export and white or custom background options.
The background-removal homepage advertises HD output with support up to 4K resolution. That stated support is distinct from the free standard-quality preview limit and from a promise that every submitted image yields a particular resolution.
Manual Erase and Restore controls let users refine a cutout after the AI has processed it.
The image upscaler advertises 2× and 4× enlargement while preserving real details and natural textures.
Photiu.ai describes the AI processing as reconstruction of missing detail, edge enhancement, texture restoration, and noise reduction.
Magic Eraser uses a brush selection and AI inpainting to reconstruct the surrounding background where an unwanted element has been marked. The vendor describes analysis of nearby textures, colors, lighting, and patterns.
The Magic Eraser FAQ says original resolution and overall clarity are preserved, and that the rest of the image remains unchanged outside the selected area.
The AI image generator accepts a text description and exposes style options including Cinematic, Photographic, Anime, Manga, Digital Art, Pixel Art, Fantasy Art, Neonpunk, and 3D Model. It creates a visual from a prompt rather than requiring a source photograph for every task.
The browser utilities address different file-preparation problems:
| Utility | Documented controls and output | Processing boundary |
|---|---|---|
| Image resizer | JPG, JPEG, PNG, and WEBP input; JPG, PNG, and WEBP output; presets or custom dimensions from 180 to 10000 pixels per side | Dimension and crop editing |
| Image compressor | JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, and SVG input; quality or target-size settings | Runs on the device without uploading images |
| HEIC to JPG | HEIC and HEIF input; JPG by default, with PNG and WebP options | Decoding and conversion happen on the device |
Compression accepts up to 50 images, each up to 25MB, and downloads a batch as a ZIP. Its quality control applies to JPG, WebP, and GIF and starts at 75. PNG and SVG remain lossless and have no quality slider; the target-size setting is a separate control. Format conversion applies to JPG, PNG, and still WebP, while GIF, SVG, and animated WebP stay in their own formats.
The HEIC converter accepts up to 50 HEIC or HEIF photos in a batch and packages multiple outputs into one ZIP. A single photo downloads as one file. These are converter-specific limits and should not be treated as a shared quota for generation, upscaling, or every other Photiu.ai tool.
The documented Magic Eraser process uses a brush to identify the unwanted region before AI removal:
The resizer's documented sequence is upload, choose a preset or enter pixel dimensions, preview the crop, and save:
Dragging and zooming change the framing visible in the editor. The separate Keep original aspect ratio control links width and height, so changing one updates the other proportionally. The original file stays in place and a new file is downloaded; this browser-session edit does not overwrite the source on the device.
Photiu.ai positions white-background editing for product shots and for restaurant or food-blogger photographs with distracting surroundings. The common task is to isolate the photographed subject and replace a busy backdrop with a plain presentation.
The generator is positioned for artwork, product concepts, illustrations, and marketing visuals. These uses fit a prompt-led task where the requested scene or style is part of the creative input.
Photiu.ai names ecommerce sellers, marketers, designers, social media creators, photographers, and developers automating image workflows as its intended audiences. Its stated roles include:
The generator is specifically positioned for marketers, founders, content creators, and non-designers who want visuals without learning advanced design tools. Its prompt-and-style interface matches that stated audience.
Photiu.ai is available through the internet and its terms say functionality depends on a stable connection. The core service is presented as online and browser-based, with no software installation required for that access. The terms' internet dependency remains relevant even though several supplementary utilities process files on the device.
The main editing upload interface lists JPG, JPEG, PNG, WEBP, GIF, and ZIP, with drag-and-drop, pasted images or image URLs, and multiple-file or folder upload up to 50 images. These are interface-level input options. Each utility can have a narrower accepted-format list or its own batch limit, such as the compressor's 25MB-per-image boundary.
Google sign-in requests the openid, email, and profile scopes. The listed account data includes a name, email address, profile picture, Google account identifier, and OAuth tokens. The policy says Photiu.ai does not access Gmail, Drive, Contacts, Calendar, or other Google services, and does not receive or store the Google password.
The following offers were captured on October 23, 2026. Photiu.ai separates preview-quality access, model-specific free credits, purchased credits, and an enterprise contact offer.
Standard background removal is free at up to 0.25 MP, while HD output requires credits. The pricing FAQ specifies one credit for a high-resolution background-removal image and says free previews are available. That meter is stated for background removal; it is not a documented universal cost for every generator model or enhancement operation.
The displayed Free Plan offers 2 credits on signup plus 2 credits per day, with free credits restricted to Basic models.
| Visible package | Displayed total | Displayed unit price |
|---|---|---|
| 5 credits | $1.50 | $0.300 per credit |
| 20 credits | $4.99 | $0.249 per credit |
| 60 credits | $10.99 | $0.183 per credit |
| 150 credits | $23.99 | $0.160 per credit |
| 300 credits | $39.99 | $0.133 per credit |
These are the visible packages in the captured purchase area, which also has a Show more control. Totals and rounded unit prices are reproduced as displayed.
The purchase card says purchased credits never expire. The FAQ on the same pricing page instead says pay-as-you-go credits are valid for up to two years from purchase. These statements are inconsistent, and both remain part of the captured offer; the page does not establish a single unambiguous expiry rule.
The Enterprise offer describes scalable AI image processing, flexible API integration, adjustable rate limits, volume-based pricing, priority processing, premium support, and a contact route.
The resizer, compressor, and HEIC converter describe no-account browser access without a fee. Those statements apply to the named utilities. They do not remove the credit requirements or model limits stated for other Photiu.ai features.
remove.bg advertises bulk background editing at up to 500 images per minute and integrations with Figma, Photoshop, and Zapier. Its integration focus supplies a concrete comparison point for an existing design or automation workflow. The throughput figure is the alternative vendor's claim, not a measured comparison with Photiu.ai.
Photoroom advertises batch AI edits across thousands of images through its API or web app, plus product-visual tools such as AI shadows and lifestyle staging. That product-photography scope is relevant when the job includes scene presentation and catalog-scale editing, rather than only an individual cutout or file conversion.
Photiu.ai combines AI editing with local file utilities; Photoroom emphasizes batch product imagery and scene presentation. These documented scopes do not establish a relative output-quality ranking.
The terms supply Photiu.ai as-is, without warranties for availability, performance, speed, or result accuracy. They also disclaim liability for data loss, delays, and incorrect results. The liability wording retains exceptions for intentional misconduct or gross negligence and does not apply the limitation to loss of life, bodily injury, or health harm.
The resizer changes dimensions rather than targeting a file size and does not guarantee an exact 20KB, 50KB, 100KB, or 200KB output. The compressor is the tool with target-size settings, but its FAQ also says some already-small images cannot be reduced further and may remain unchanged. Pixel dimensions and compressed file size are therefore separate controls in this suite.
The HEIC converter's quality slider trades retained detail against download size: a higher setting stays closer to the original and a lower setting produces a smaller file. The vendor also presents PNG and WebP options for a lossless file.
Platform access is licensed on a non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited basis for internal or personal use, whether commercial or non-commercial. The terms prohibit transferring, sublicensing, renting, or sharing access to the software with third parties. This access restriction sits alongside the separate conditions governing commercial use of edited and generated images.
Upscaled images may be used commercially when the user has legal rights to the original image; upscaling does not change that image's ownership or copyright.
Generated images may be used for marketing, websites, product mockups, social posts, and digital advertising provided the content complies with applicable laws and platform policies.
The terms prohibit use of the platform for the following purposes:
When uploading, editing, or generating content involving an identifiable person, the user confirms all necessary rights and that person's consent. The terms prohibit content that infringes portrait, privacy, publicity, or other personal rights; impersonates, deceives, harasses, or harms others; or creates non-consensual intimate, nude, sexualized, or otherwise unlawful content involving a real person.
For text-to-image use, the privacy policy says prompts and generated images are temporarily processed, content is automatically scanned for policy violations, non-violating data is deleted, and violating content is purged from the servers. It separately says images and prompts submitted for editing or generation are not Google user data and that Google account data is not an input to those features. The deletion wording does not give a numeric retention period for the text-to-image material.
The explicit no-advertising, no-sale, no-data-broker, and no-generalized-AI-training promises concern Google user data. This scope matters: the policy distinguishes account data from the image and prompt content processed by the creative tools. It permits Google-data disclosure to infrastructure providers operating sign-in and accounts, when directed by the user, or for legal process and protection of rights, safety, and security.
The policy says Google user data travels over HTTPS using TLS, and access to stored account data is restricted to authorized personnel who need it to operate Photiu.ai. This is a specific account-data security statement; it does not establish an independent security audit or extend the browser utilities' local-processing claim to the AI tools.
Google user data and OAuth tokens are kept while the Photiu.ai account exists and deleted on account deletion or a deletion request, except where longer retention is legally required. Revoking access prevents Google sign-in until it is authorized again. The policy also describes connection logs, including IP address, request details, browser and operating-system information, with storage for up to three months. Its log paragraph allows submission to authorities following a hacking attack while otherwise forbidding third-party transmission in that stated scope.
Yes. Background editing offers transparent PNG output as well as white or custom replacement backgrounds.
