Lummi is a curated library of AI stock images with tools for creating and editing visuals. Its library is organized around photos, illustrations and 3D, so a project can start with an existing asset rather than a new prompt. Lummi describes the collection as work made by AI creators; its terms identify the operator as Blush Design Inc., doing business as Lummi.
Search and filters locate an existing visual, while Create accepts a prompt or image reference. Free library access does not include every premium image, download quality or AI operation.
The image license permits commercial projects and modification, with artist ownership and resale restrictions retained.
Prompt-based image generation offers photo, illustration or 3D-render output types, tall, square or wide aspect ratios, shot choices and predefined aesthetic trends. Lummi documents close-up, medium, wide, aerial, low-angle and high-angle shot options. A prompt can request up to three images at once.
An image reference changes the available controls. Create can use a Lummi library image or an uploaded image; a prompt is optional for making similar versions. Image type and Trends are disabled with a reference so that the reference determines the style, while aspect ratio and shot type remain adjustable.
Lummi identifies ByteDance Seedream as the model used for image generation and retouch in its FAQ. The disclosure is specific to those functions.
Create also documents short-video generation from a prompt or an existing image. Its video options are wide, story or auto-size framing, a length of 4, 6 or 8 seconds, and audio on or off.
Real 3D documentation offers .gltf downloads and a 2D/3D toggle on the featured feed. A rendered image is distinct from a downloadable 3D asset.
Curated video downloads are documented for Pro and Max subscribers in .mp4 format through Tools > Video. The Pro marketing page still labels image-to-video as “soon,” while the creation and video-download documentation describe available workflows. The public descriptions differ.
Free accounts can create unlimited collections, add or remove images, and edit collection names and descriptions. Collections are public by default, with a privacy toggle available when creating them and privacy settings that can be changed later. Private collections are described as visible only to their owner.
Favorites use the heart icon, while the plus button on an opened image can add it to an existing collection or create a new one.
The activity log tracks downloads and retouches for finding them again, and Lummi describes that log as private to the account.
Lummi positions its stock library for presentations, websites and social media. The placement examples concern ready-made AI imagery, not measured engagement or conversion gains.
Reframe supports adapting a selected library image to a different composition through outpainting and focal-point control.
Higher-resolution downloads are positioned for posters, packaging, large-format designs and portfolio projects. Pro Hi Res supports AI upscaling up to 8X, and ultra-sizing may take up to three minutes to process and download. The documented upper bound describes an enlargement option, not a fixed pixel dimension guaranteed for every image.
Custom creator links can point to a tip jar or personal website. The listed program benefits do not state a wage or royalty arrangement.
Creating an account requires users to guarantee that they are above 18 and that their supplied information is accurate, complete and current.
Lummi is available through its web app and plugins for Figma, Webflow, Adobe Express, Framer and Canva. Plugin coverage varies by host.
Lummi describes its developer offering as a RESTful API and publishes an image-search example using a Bearer API key. The public API-key request form requires sign-in and asks about the applicant's website or app, implementation and intended API use.
The form lists interests including filtered image lists, search, asset downloads, effects or reframe downloads, similar or random images, collections, creators and AI generation. These are request options rather than granted entitlements. No public API price or rate allowance was established from the developer pages checked for this profile.
Most of the image library is described as free to download, while Pro unlocks premium images and higher-quality downloads.
As captured on October 25, 2026, the Pro marketing page displayed these explicitly labeled offers:
| Billing option | Listed amount | Included AI allowance on that page | Video wording on that page |
|---|---|---|---|
| Yearly billing | $10 USD per month, billed yearly | 60 AI credits per month | Image to video: soon |
| Monthly billing | $15 USD per month, billed monthly | 60 AI credits per month | Image to video: soon |
Both cards also list the entire library watermark-free, Reframe, ultra resolution, images without backgrounds and AI editing tools. The yearly offer carries a 33% discount label and a crossed-out $15 amount. No annual total is displayed here.
The paid-plan documentation gives Pro unlimited image generations, five fast generations per hour and three video generations, alongside watermark-free library access, large-to-ultra resolutions, Reframe, AI editing, background removal and similar-image creation. It does not assign a reset period to the three video generations in that list.
Max is documented as including Pro features plus unlimited video generations and 60 fast generations per hour. No Max price is supplied in the paid-plan document checked here. Those allowances are the documentation's account, while the Pro marketing cards use a different monthly-credit allowance and still describe image-to-video as forthcoming. These statements are inconsistent across the public pages.
One credit is defined as one fast generation, allowing an image generation or an AI feature operation. The named fast-credit uses are Retouch, Create Similar and Create from Scratch. Unlimited generation and fast-generation limits are different dimensions.
The free tier is described as having a limited number of credits without a numeric amount. Credit packs are labeled “Coming Soon,” and the credits document says those extra credits will not roll over. That rollover statement concerns the described extra-credit offer.
The documented cancellation path is the profile image, then Account settings > Subscription > Cancel. The same instructions cover a free trial and a subscription.
No refund window, its starting event, exceptions or numeric trial duration was found in the Terms, Pro marketing page, paid-plan documentation and FAQ checked for this profile.
Independent discovery listings identify Unsplash and Krea as alternatives for different starting tasks.
These comparisons distinguish the starting task rather than rank output quality. Neither the discovery listings nor the checked primary material establishes a head-to-head quality test, equivalent subscription allowances or interchangeable image rights.
The Lummi image license permits commercial and non-commercial end products for the user or a client, copies of those end products across media, and modifying or combining images with other work. Its long-form grant is irrevocable, nonexclusive and worldwide, without a requirement to ask permission or provide attribution.
The terms prohibit reselling or redistributing Lummi images, compiling them into a similar or competing service, and claiming ownership even after modification. They state that the artist retains ownership. Distribution of an end product remains distinct from redistribution of its underlying images.
People posting content must warrant that they own it or have the necessary rights and that posting does not violate privacy, publicity, copyright, contract or other rights. They keep their rights but grant Lummi permission to use, modify, publicly perform, publicly display, reproduce and distribute posted content through the service, including making it available to other users under the terms.
The service is supplied “as is” and “as available,” with a disclaimer of warranties including non-infringement, subject to warranties that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law. The commercial-use grant is thus not presented here as guaranteed clearance of every person's likeness, trademark or other third-party right. The checked image license and terms do not supply an unconditional model-release or trademark-clearance guarantee.
Generated images and videos are saved in profile tabs. Making an image discoverable puts it in search results and makes it available for others to use; administrators may hide an image that does not meet Lummi's standards while it remains accessible to its creator.
Personal data may include email, name, cookies and usage data. The privacy policy says usage information may include IP address, browser details, visited pages, visit times, device identifiers and diagnostic data. It describes using data to provide and improve the service. The checked policy, terms and creation documentation do not specify a model-training opt-out or a dedicated retention period for prompts, reference uploads or search terms; general improvement language is not a specific training commitment.
Personal data is retained only as long as necessary for the policy's purposes, including legal obligations, dispute resolution and enforcing agreements. Usage data is generally kept for a shorter period, except where security, functionality improvements or legal obligations require longer retention.
Information may be transferred outside a user's jurisdiction. For users outside the United States who supply information, the policy states that data is transferred to and processed in the United States. Service providers can access personal data for their tasks and are obliged not to use or disclose it for another purpose. Lummi also says it does not store or collect payment-card details, which go directly to its payment processors.
For residents of the European Union (EU) and European Economic Area (EEA), the policy's GDPR section provides access, correction, deletion, objection, restriction and portability rights in certain circumstances, plus withdrawal of consent where processing relies on consent. Identity verification may be requested, and necessary data may be required to provide the service. Separately, support accepts account-and-associated-data deletion requests and states that confirmation will arrive within one to three business days; this stated response window is not the policy's general retention period.
No. Much of the image library is free to download, while premium images, higher-quality downloads and paid AI features have separate access conditions. A free image license is not an unlimited free-generation plan.
Yes. Create accepts an uploaded reference or a library image, with an optional prompt. Reference mode disables Image type and Trends but leaves aspect ratio and shot type customizable.
The terms allow modification but say users cannot claim ownership of an image even after editing, with ownership retained by its artist. Resale, redistribution and competing-service restrictions still apply.
