What is BoldVoice?

BoldVoice is an accent training app for non-native English speakers that combines video lessons from accent coaches with instant speech AI feedback. Its focus is the way English sounds when spoken: pronunciation, stress and clarity. The central experience pairs an explanation of how to produce a sound with recorded practice and feedback about the sounds that need work.

The app is positioned for people who already know English and want to be understood more clearly. That gives it a specific place in language learning. A learner with a strong vocabulary and grammar can use a personalized speaking plan without treating pronunciation as a small exercise inside a broader course. The intended outcome is clearer, more confident communication; promotional claims about rapid improvement are not a guarantee of an individual's progress.

Core features

Sound-level feedback

BoldVoice describes its proprietary AI as trained specifically for accented English, with instant scores, feedback on individual sounds and tips for improvement. The feedback identifies what needs attention inside spoken material, directing practice toward particular sounds.

The company presents pronunciation feedback alongside analysis of stress and clarity. Its public practice sequence moves from recording to diagnosis, targeted drills and scores. These are learning signals within the product; a score is a way to organize practice, rather than a credential or a promise that every listener will understand the speaker in every situation.

Demonstration and repeated practice

  • Coach videos and drills: On-demand lessons from Hollywood dialect coaches cover difficult sounds and practical exercises. The videos supply a demonstration, while the AI supplies feedback on the learner's attempt.
  • Visual and audio comparison: The app listing describes voice recording, comparison with native speakers, sound-by-sound word analysis, and interactive mouth diagrams showing how sounds are made. Daily learning tasks are described as taking 5–10 minutes.
  • Conversation practice: AI Chat supports free-flowing conversations with an AI partner. The listed learning material includes business vocabulary and professional phrases, and the learning journey is described as adapting to progress.
  • Subscription learning tools: The subscription includes unlimited access to coach videos, AI pronunciation feedback, personalized learning paths, progress tracking and daily exercises. Unlimited video access is the stated entitlement; it does not establish that every service offered under the brand is included.

Guide

To start a personalized pronunciation practice session:

  1. Open an entry point: Download BoldVoice through the Apple App Store or Google Play, or use its web signup. Web signup is an account entry point; its presence alone does not establish browser access to every app feature.
  2. Set up the sound plan: Answer the native-language question during onboarding and complete the speech assessment. BoldVoice uses the results to create a personalized plan targeting sounds that are difficult for the learner. The company says it supports users from more than 150 language backgrounds, including Mandarin, Spanish, Hindi and Arabic. These are personalization backgrounds, rather than languages taught as courses.
  3. Practice the identified sounds: Record speaking phrases or conversations, then review the analysis of pronunciation, stress and clarity and the explanation of what needs to change. Work through the targeted drills and follow the scores as practice continues.

Use cases

Company phrases and scripts

The business offering supports custom industry and company exercises: learners can design practice phrases and scripts, receive detailed AI feedback, and bookmark exercises for reuse. That creates a concrete use for pronunciation work around recurring material. A company script can become speaking practice instead of remaining only a document to read.

Customer and client communication

BoldVoice positions its business training for customer support teams communicating with customers and for sales or business-development teams building client rapport. These are vendor-defined use cases. Clearer delivery is the training objective; improvements in resolution time, sales or customer satisfaction remain promotional outcomes rather than guaranteed results.

The business offering also addresses hospitality staff, consulting and IT professionals, and institutions preparing students or new talent for English-speaking work. The company describes these as applications of its speaking training, without establishing separate industry-specific performance results.

Who is it for

BoldVoice targets non-native English-speaking professionals with strong vocabulary and grammar who still struggle to be understood or feel confident speaking. The company names software engineering, healthcare, finance and academia among its professional audiences.

  • Professionals using English at work: The pronunciation and accent focus suits a person working on the delivery of ideas in meetings or presentations. Business phrases, custom exercises and conversation practice provide relevant material.
  • Job seekers and learners: The app listing includes interview candidates, graduate students, academics, presenters, ESL/EFL learners developing their skills and people preparing for TOEFL, IELTS or other English certifications. These are intended audiences, without a stated promise of an exam score or a complete exam-preparation curriculum.
  • People seeking individual instruction: Private sessions allow learners to share specific goals before meeting a coach, so the session can be adapted to those goals and include individualized communication feedback. This offers a different degree of human involvement from following the video lessons.

Platforms

Desktop recording

BoldVoice Recorder has a macOS download, while the Windows version is marked as coming soon. It uses an existing BoldVoice account, and desktop practice counts toward the user's daily streak. Its documented tasks include recording work calls or video meetings for later pronunciation review, rehearsing presentations, and capturing natural speech during the day.

Private sessions and ChatGPT access

Private coaching takes place one-to-one over Zoom in 45- or 60-minute sessions, with a recording shared afterward unless the learner asks not to be recorded. The duration is selected with the package. This is scheduled instruction with a coach, rather than the app's instant AI response.

BoldVoice Pronunciation and Accent Oracle also operate in ChatGPT without requiring a BoldVoice account. These have their own stated data handling and age conditions. Their account requirement should not be generalized to the mobile subscription or the desktop recorder, which are described through separate access paths.

Pricing

American accent training is sold through a subscription, with a public web offer and separate private coaching packages. The following web prices were captured on October 28, 2026. They describe the captured offer in USD; country-specific offerings and store subscriptions can have different terms.

Public web optionDisplayed priceBilling and introductory access
Yearly$12.49/month, billed annuallySeven days free; $149.99 charged after the trial, then automatic annual renewal unless canceled
Monthly$24.99/monthMonthly price displayed; the captured introductory-trial statement is attached to the yearly option

The yearly monthly figure represents an annual purchase, with the full annual charge defining the commitment. This capture does not establish universal pricing across countries or payment channels.

Free access and store renewal

The app listing says that without a subscription only the first lesson is available free; subscribing unlocks the coach lessons, practice materials and app features. This describes ongoing access without a subscription. The seven-day introductory offer is a separate access condition, and the two should not be read as a permanently unlocked free version of the app.

For Google Play subscriptions, payment is charged on confirmation and automatic renewal must be canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Management is through the subscription controls in Google Play. That is the published rule for this store channel, rather than a cancellation procedure for every payment method.

Private coaching commitments

Private coaching is offered as a separately purchased package, with sessions bookable within six months of purchase. Scheduling is coordinated after payment. The purchase therefore includes a scheduling window as well as the time spent with the coach; it is not an unlimited period in which to use the sessions.

The rescheduling and refund rules are specific to these classes. Free rescheduling requires at least seven days' notice. With less than seven days but more than 72 hours remaining, the stated fee is $50. Requests under 72 hours cannot be honored and are treated as a no-show without a refund. Purchased classes that have not been scheduled are refundable up to 60% of the purchase price. These conditions describe private coaching, and do not establish an app-subscription refund policy.

Alternatives

ELSA Speak offers realistic AI role-play scenarios and instant personalized speaking feedback. It is an alternative for a learner whose main priority is interactive conversation with automated correction. The overlap with BoldVoice is speaking practice and feedback; the useful comparison is the form of practice, without assuming that the scoring systems, curricula or subscription entitlements are equivalent.

Speechling combines browser or app recording with feedback from a human pronunciation coach, presented as arriving within 24 hours. Its sequence starts with listening and recording, then continues with the coach's corrections on pronunciation, intonation, rhythm, grammar and word choice. This gives a different feedback timetable from instant AI scoring.

Limitations

Learning scope

BoldVoice's stated focus is pronunciation and accent training for professionals who already know English. It is a specialized speaking product, so the professional, interview and exam-related audiences do not expand its documented scope into a complete beginner course or a promise of certification results. Its strengths are framed around spoken delivery, difficult sounds, stress and clarity.

Voice collection and model improvement

The privacy policy says BoldVoice collects and stores voice samples for pronunciation feedback, the learning experience and improvement of its machine-learning models. These are stated uses of recordings, so practice is not described as a process in which all audio necessarily disappears immediately after a score is generated.

For personally identifiable stored voice samples, the policy allows requests for access or deletion and says they will be processed within 28 business days. Users can opt out of future voice-sample collection by disabling voice-related features, although the policy says this may limit service functionality.

The policy also describes signup information such as name, email, phone number and native language, along with device and IP information. Interaction records include lesson progress, time spent and exercise scores. Practice recordings are stored to supply feedback and a history of pronunciation over time.

Deletion and channel-specific data

Account and personal-information deletion can be requested in the mobile app's Settings or by email, with processing within 28 business days or sooner. That is an account-data process, separate from canceling a recurring subscription.

Starting a trial or subscribing through Apple also involves consent to share personal data with Apple for review of app refund requests. The policy directs consumption-information access or deletion requests to Apple's own privacy process. This is a channel-specific disclosure rather than a claim that every purchase sends the same information through the same route.

The ChatGPT apps have a distinct retention model: results can be read in ChatGPT for 24 hours, and a website result link works for 90 days and can be viewed by anyone who has it. Recordings, results and associated technical data are retained until deletion is requested. Asking ChatGPT to delete BoldVoice data deletes recordings, results and result links immediately, according to the policy. A shared result link is therefore part of the privacy decision, not simply a private score inside a lesson.

Age and content rights

The public terms set an 18-year minimum for the Site, with an exception allowing ages 13–17 to use BoldVoice Pronunciation and Accent Oracle in ChatGPT; children under 13 may not use any part of the Site. The exception is specific to those ChatGPT experiences and does not give a general under-18 permission for all BoldVoice services.

The terms give eligible users a limited license to access the Site and download or print properly accessed Content for personal, non-commercial use. This is a license to use learning material under the published terms. A professional audience or a business training use case does not by itself grant a right to republish or resell the coach's videos, audio or other content.

FAQ

Q1. Does BoldVoice teach different languages?
